What's Been Movin' and Groovin' at the FIT Office? - Written by Diana LJ Harrison in Portland, Oregon

There has been a lot going on while we were not able to come into the office.  We have all learned how to use virtual meeting software so that we are able to conduct virtual individual meetings as well as continue to offer educational seminars through a webinar format.  Rachel is now known as the Webinar Queen.

There is a new face in the office.  We are pleased to introduce you to Sam Detke, who came onboard last October.  Sam joined the team and immediately started studying for his Certified Financial Planner certification.  We are so proud of him as he passed the exam in March.

Since last year we also lost a member of our team.  Brittany decided that public money management was not for her. She is doing very well and is in contact with the office as we watch her progress as a great individual.

The firm has continued to grow in so many more ways with events such as our virtual wine tasting, gardening tips webinar, and delicious delivered anniversary treats to celebrate our gratitude of having you as a client.  We are so glad that we have been able to stay connected with you during this crazy year that we have all been though.

The county and state permitting, I plan on returning to the office two days a week beginning in June with one day being reserved for in person meetings.  Rachel and Sam will also be coming back in as they get vaccinated and feel comfortable doing so.  We are requiring that all people visiting the office in person are two weeks beyond their last vaccine.  We do understand that some people, for whatever reason, do not feel comfortable getting a vaccine.   For those of you who are not vaccinated, we will continue with virtual meetings.  Know that going forward virtual meetings will always be an option.  Sometimes it is more convenient time wise, and certainly for our distant clients it makes more sense.  We look forward to a time when we can once again travel to all of you out of the area.

On a personal note, Donald and I have moved to LaCenter Washington were we have a terrific 5-acre farm with six goats, three dogs (yes, a new addition, Takota) and our cat Willie Nelson.

I, as do the entire staff, hope to see you soon.
